Save the Trees in Mt. Vernon Parks

Over 100 trees in the heart of Baltimore will be cut down if city officials adopt a public private group's $12+ million dollar plan for the four Mount Vernon Parks around the Washington Monument.

Sign this petition to stop the trees from being cut down and seek a modified plan for the Mount Vernon Parks. Funds allocated towards the project should be used to:

• care for park trees and replace trees only as needed
• restore the balustrades
• replace existing sidewalks
• address electrical infrastructure
• add additional ADA access to the park interior instead of perimeter sidewalks that will increase project cost, reduce parking for residents, and kill bordering trees

We seek to have these needs addressed in a modified plan that saves the trees.
